Gary Adams....First Solo
"When I was about 9 years old my Dad leased the land here at Aldinga Airfield and sowed barley and oats. I remember helping with the harvest, but when I left school my Dad wasn't farming anymore and I took up an Apptrenticeship in Cabinet Making and became a Carpenter/Joiner, now working for myself."
"My wife Donna bought me a Waco flight for my birthday, and I began learning to fly just 4 months later at 43 years old. I was really calm when Steve hopped out of the aeroplane and said, 'Off you go!'"
"When I got home I was really, really buzzing! I want to get my Recreational Licence and take family and friends for a fly. Donna says it would be nice to go to Coffin Bay for lunch! Just to begin with!"
